ROCKFORD, ILL. — German hot runner manufacturer Ewikon GmbH is forming a private-label partnership with Gammaflux LP, Ewikon announced at a Technology Day held Sept. 23 at its Rockford technical center.
Under the agreement Gammaflux will supply Ewikon with its G24 and LEC lines of hot runner temperature controllers for distribution in the U.S., Gammaflex salesman Chris King toldPlastics News. The partnership will be officially launched at the Fakuma international trade show in Germany next month.
Ewikon has been selling Gammaflux products for more than a year, so bringing the controllers under the Ewikon name made business sense, Ewikon Molding Technologies Inc. president Dave Boxall told Plastics News.
The controllers will be sold under the designation HPS-C Pro+.
The companies make a good match because of the importance of precise temperature control when molding intricate parts, a Ewikon specialty, King added.
The companies are in the process of finalizing logo and color options, King said. Gammaflux, based in Sterling, Va., also supplies private-label controllers to Milacron LLC. |
